THE ROLE/ CHALLENGE:
A Global $50M environmental enterprise needed to replace their retiring CEO. Previously the Chairman of the Board had engaged Kuhn Global Talent to successfully recruit a Director of Sales for the Americas at another of the Chairman’s companies.

- Search had to be 100% confidential
- Needle-in-the-Haystack search within niche industry
KGT’S STRATEGY:
After several phone and video conferences between Jim and the CEO, Jim provided a recruiting strategy and time and action plan. He explained how he would find the right candidates, how he would meet and assess them and how he would help the CEO select the right candidate.
Jim and the CEO meet in Cleveland for several hours. The CEO and Jim agree to terms of the search engagement and they ask the current incumbent to meet and interview the top three candidates in person.
THE RESULTS:
The CEO had several video conferences with candidates, selected the finalist and Jim performed extensive reference and background investigations. Global CEO hires finalist candidate without meeting him in person. Newly-hired President, CEO, and Jim plan through organizational and PR communications and on-boarding. The new President has been onboard and, by all measures, is successful.
