THE ROLE/ CHALLENGE:
The CEO of a $20M US-Based Publishing Company needed a top digital strategy leader to convert the company from print to digital over a five-year period. The company had several digital project managers and the new Director of Digital Strategy would have to evolve the digital team into a more effective digital “agency” so that it could also produce revenues by becoming a success external digital marketing organization.
KGT’S STRATEGY:
The CEO had previously engaged Kuhn Global Talent to recruit a new Editor, and as a result of that successful placement Jim was asked to conduct a highly-confidential search within the close-knit regional digital professional community.
Within four weeks Jim presented five candidates. The CEO met all of them and selected one to visit with the leadership team to present a case study.
THE RESULTS:
The new Director of Digital Strategy joined the company two-weeks before the state Governor set shelter-at-home orders in place due to COVID-19. The new director and team are making progress evolving into a digital marketing agency. The company’s digital transformation strategy has been enhanced by the new director who is a world-class leader in this function and industry.
